Durwin Rice is el Dios del Decoupage and even though he usually teaches in NYC, he lives in KC and has a store there. He sells the most incredible giftwrap paper, paper napkins, and other things with gorgeous graphics which can be used for decoupage, collage, etc. www.DurwinRice.com

Cachaça: It's sold here in Kansas, and we have some of the oldest, dumbest, wierdest liquor laws around... so if you can find it here, you should be able to find it anywhere. No need to haul it back on the avión, unless you just want to. I also love the Guaraná pop from Brazil (though not as much as a caipirinha!).

I have a Dr's apt tomorrow, which means a trip to Kansas City, which means trips to Hancock Fabrics, Michael's, Durwin Rice (droooool) and at least one yummy meal. Thai? Brazilian? Italian? Too many choices!
Have you seen the little "muertos" from Puebla w/ the skeleton in a nun's habit, and in the back, the robe is cut and her nalgas are showing? That was one of the first ones I bought 20 yrs ago. Whenever I see your screen name, I think of her!
